Boulevard Kukulcan, Kilometer 6.5, Hotel Zone, Cancun Mexico, CP 77500.

Key aspects of Playa Tortugas:

  • The water: Very calm, similar to a swimming pool. You can walk several meters out without the water completely covering you.

  • Sargassum: It rarely has significant sargassum, which makes it very attractive for much of the year.

  • Services: It has restaurants, a beach club, convenience stores and rental of sunbeds and umbrellas.

  • Water sports: Excellent for safe swimming and snorkeling in small reef areas.

  • Bungee: It has a 25-meter high platform for adrenaline lovers.

  • Transportation to Isla Mujeres: Here is the main dock from which the daily ferries depart for Isla Mujeres.

It's recommended to arrive early to secure a good spot, especially on weekends when it tends to be more crowded. Water shoes are a good idea, as the bottom can have some rock formations. If you prefer less crowded areas, walk to the left or right of the main entrance .
