San Miguelito Beach
San Miguelito Beach is a "hidden gem" at Km 16.5 of Boulevard Kukulcán in Cancun's Hotel Zone . It's the only beach where you can combine the Caribbean Sea and Mayan history, as it's located next to the archaeological site of the same name and the Cancun Mayan Museum.
Boulevard Kukulcan, Kilometer 16.5, Hotel Zone, Cancun Mexico, CP 77500.
Key aspects of San Miguelito Beach:
The surroundings: It is a white sand beach, surrounded by vegetation and with a much more relaxed and less crowded atmosphere than other areas of the Hotel Zone.
The surf: It is moderate to strong (similar to Playa Delfines), so it is not recommended for small children or inexperienced swimmers.
It's located right between the Grand Oasis Hotel and the former Ritz-Carlton. By bus: You can take any bus on the "Hotel Route" and get off near the Cancun Mayan Museum.
Pedestrian access: From the boulevard, you must walk along a small side alley (called San Miguelito street) until you reach the coast.
No facilities: This beach does not have restrooms, showers, lounge chairs, umbrellas or lifeguards.
Accessibility: It does not have ramps and the access road is sandy, which makes it difficult for people with disabilities or older adults to pass.
Recommendations: If you plan to visit, it is essential that you bring enough water, biodegradable sunscreen, and that you collect all your trash to keep the place clean.
