Marlin Beach
Marlin Beach is one of the largest, most beautiful, and best-equipped public beaches in Cancun's Hotel Zone . It boasts the Blue Flag certification, moderate to strong waves, and is a key nesting site for sea turtles between May and September.
Boulevard Kukulcan, Kilometer 13, Hotel Zone, Cancun Mexico, CP 77500.
Key aspects of Marlin Beach:
It is located at kilometer 13 of Boulevard Kukulcán, right behind Plaza Kukulcán.
Access: Completely free and open to the public.
Parking: Free at the entrance, operating from 09:00 to 16:30 hrs.
Amenities: Freshwater showers, restrooms, and rental of lounge chairs and umbrellas (at extra cost).
Accessibility: It has wooden ramps to facilitate wheelchair access.
Waves: They are usually moderate to strong, so precautions are necessary, but they are excellent for those who enjoy a more active sea.
Water sports: It is possible to book activities such as parasailing and jet skiing in the same area.
Public transportation: It's very easy to get here using Route 1 or Route 2 buses (which run frequently throughout the Hotel Zone and downtown). Just ask the driver to let you off at Plaza Kukulcán or request to be let off near Playa Marlín.
Rules: Glass bottles are not allowed, nor is the use of traditional sunscreens that damage corals (I suggest using biodegradable sunscreens or clothing with UV protection).
Shops: You'll find an OXXO convenience store a few steps from the entrance to buy drinks and snacks.
