Chac Mool Beach is a beautiful public beach with white sand and turquoise waters located in the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone . It's famous for its relaxed atmosphere and moderate to strong waves, ideal for surfing or bodyboarding.

  • Atmosphere: Being away from the main nightclubs, it is quieter than other beaches in the area, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.

  • Services: It has the Blue Flag distinction, which guarantees excellent standards of cleanliness, showers, toilets, lifeguard towers and lifeguards.

  • Surroundings: You can occasionally find turtle nesting areas and it is surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores and entertainment options.

  • Transportation: It's very easy to get there by taking Route 1 (R1) or Route 2 (R2) buses from downtown Cancun. Just ask the driver to let you off at kilometer 10.

  • Waves: Due to the intensity of the water, you should always check the color of the flags (especially if there is a red flag) and consult the lifeguards if you plan to swim.

  • Hours: Public access is approximately from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, at which time the security personnel leave.
